Basic Traffic Control Course for Workers (BTCC)

FOR WHOM

• Workers working in the work zone on or next to the road.
• Any other person who is interested to understand and/or perform work safety in the work zone on or next to the road.

OVERVIEW
Conflicts between traffic and works on or next to the road are inevitable. It is important to reduce such conflicts to optimise work efficiency and traffic safety, and to minimise traffic congestion, delay and inconvenience to road users. It is important to ensure the safety of workers working at the work zone. This includes to ensure the training of all workers on the basic of road safety, and they are to be protected from the hazards of working in the work zone. OBJECTIVE
By the end of the course, the learners will be equipped with the necessary know-how to be fully convrsant with safe methods of placing, operating, mainaining and removing devices on the road.

THEORY & PRACTICAL

The course content consists of webinar lesson which will be focusing on Safe Operational Practices of the following:

• Introduction to Code of Practice (COP) for Traffic Contral at Work Zone, relevant Acts & Regulations
• Fundamental Principles of Traffic Control
• Implementation of Traffic Control Plan
• Design & Applicaton of Traffic Control Devices
• Theory Test (10 MCQ, 15min)
