OVERVIEW
The WSQ Workplace Safety and Health Professionals (WSHP) framework aims to raise the professionalism of the WSH and related industry by equipping the workforce with essential generic and portable skills to adapt and be resilient to challenges in the dynamic working environment.
This Competency Unit is a mandatory unit for individuals who are assigned to undertake the role of a supervisor in the construction industry.

OBJECTIVE
This Competency Unit (CU) covers the Performance Statements (PS) as listed below:
- PS1 Explain and interpret salient WSH legislations and other requirements relevant to construction industry
- PS2 Describe the WSH duties and responsibilities of a supervisor in construction industry
- PS3 Assist in safety and health planning and organisation at worksite
- PS4 Identify WSH hazards, evaluate and control risks in construction industry in accordance with risk management process
- PS5 Carry out WSH inspections in accordance with organisational inspection procedures
- PS6 Conduct incident investigation and prepare report in accordance with legal requirements and other organisational requirements

^ENTRY REQUIREMENTS / *ASSUMED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
^At least 18 years of age
^Singaporeans, Permanent Residents or Holders of valid employment pass / work permit
*Employability Skills System (ESS) Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) Level 4 and above, or equivalent
*Be physically and mentally fit for the training, without any handicaps
Note :
- Proof of highest education certificate is recommended
- Those 70 years and above must produce a medical certificate of physical fitness

CERTIFICATION
