This WSQ OLC Assessment only Pathway (AOP) only applies to the experienced Lorry Crane Operators with certificate of training issued by manufacturers or training providers (e.g. Tat Hong, Palfinger, Hiap etc) or Employer’s letter to testify at least 3 years of relevant experience in lorry crane operations*.
CONTENTS
The AOP consists of 1 hour written test and 1 hour practical test.

The Generic Manufacturing Skills (GMS) WSQ framework aims to raise the professionalism of the manufacturing industry by equipping the workforce with essential generic and portable skills to adapt and be resilient to challenges in the dynamic working environment. OBJECTIVE
By the end of the course, learners should be competently trained with the knowledge and application skills in carrying out lorry crane operations to meet WSH legislative requirements.
THEORY & PRACTICAL
“Operate Lorry Crane” is a Competency Unit (CU) under the Logistics Competency Category. The Competency Elements (CE) covered are:-
- CE1 : Conduct Routine Checks
- CE2 : Plan for Lifting Operations
- CE3 : Set Up Crane
- CE4 : Lift and Transfer Load
- CE5 : Shut Down and Secure Crane

^ENTRY REQUIREMENTS / *ASSUMED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
^At least 18 years of age
^Singaporeans, Permanent Residents or Holders of valid employment pass / work permit
*Employability Skills System (ESS) Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) Level 3 and above, or equivalent
*Ability to read and understand manufacturer’s instructions and safety signs
*Be physically and mentally fit for the training, without any handicaps
*Has a good sense of “situational awareness”

- Those 70 years and above must produce a medical certificate of physical fitness

*Note:
- Learner may opt for a FREE 2Hrs THT Academy Pte Ltd tutorial lesson to prepare for the written test confidently. (Strongly recommended!)
- Learner who failed the written test has to attend the theory lesson and written test (WSQ OLC-T) and pass the written test before proceeding to practical test.
- Please attach a copy of relevant certificate or Employer’s letter at time of application.
CERTIFICATION
Statement of Attainment (SOA) will be awarded under the Singapore Workforce Qualifications (WSQ) Framework to the learners upon completion of the course.
For learners who passed the theory and practical tests, THT Academy Pte Ltd will issue a course pass with a validity period of 5 years from the assessment date
SAFETY ATTIRES
Learners are required to wear their safety shoes/boots for the practical lesson/test. Safety helmet is provided by the training centre.
