About this course
This course is designed to equip learners with the knowledge and skills to effectively utilize Excel in order to support business efficiency and support decision making. As we navigate through this course, learners will gain understanding of the syntax and parameters to apply Excel functions.

This course is for advanced level learners and is suitable for working professionals with at least intermediate knowledge of Excel and is keen to expand their knowledge to enhance their data analysis skills at the work for effective decision making.
What You’ll Learn
With working professionals in mind, this course will equip learners with the necessary knowledge and skills to apply Excel functions and features to analyze data in order to support business operation and decision making. Participants will understand how to use the right syntax and apply the appropriate functions for different case scenarios.
In this course, learners will learn the following:
- Grasp the basic logic, syntax and execution of various Excel functions and features to perform statistical analysis of datasets
- Acquire the knowledge to apply functions and features to identify data trends and patterns to support decision making
- Understand how to use functions and features perform what-if analysis using scenarios and data tables.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- Be able to listen and speak English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualifications (“ES WSQ”) Workplace Literacy (“WPL”) level 3.
- Be able to read and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to ES WSQ WPL level 3.
- Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ES WSQ Workplace Numeracy (“WPN”) level 3.
- Learners to have minimum GCE ‘O’ level or ITE certificate education or equivalent.
- Learners should have at least 1 year’s working experience in any industry.
- Be able to operate a computer.

Should I take Intermediate or Advanced?
Advanced is for learners who already have intermediate Excel skills. If you are newer to Excel functions, start with Data Analytics with Excel (Intermediate), which covers managing data, secure collaboration and data validation.
